Take our “Trashy” Survey
College Clean-Up – and yet more trash
It was drizzling and it was cool. But at least it wasn’t pouring and freezing! 9 participants put their hoods up and spread out around the sports areas to pick up trash. It was noteworthy that there were very few recyclables. Mostly what we found were plastic bags, candy and food wrappers and styrofoam cups – all very mucky.

clean-up group - tired but satisfied
A big thank you to Todd Horton and students from Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association (co-sponsors of this event), and also students from Heidi Leuszler’s BIO 104 class and Laura Jamison’s SOC 101 class for participating. And another big thank you to Student Life and John Eby for the pizza, cookies and drinks afterwards. We really appreciated getting re-fueled.

And lastly, a special shout-out to Todd’s truck.
